Tania Gallego Lirola (Motril, Granada, 1982). She graduated from the «Alonso Cano» Faculty of Fine Arts in Granada and specialised in Printmaking at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, Italy.
She currently combines her work as a secondary-school teacher of Visual Arts with the development of her own work: an eclectic practice that ranges from sculpture, drawing and printmaking to painting, murals and installations.
At ease with any medium, she digs into beauty and into the search for a poetic language that reflects her own concerns. An emotional body of work with which she exposes herself to the world, to an audience open to quiet and critical readings, conversing and connecting with a collective imaginary.

Linocut workshop
Linocut is a relief printing technique: you carve a linoleum block with gouges, ink it and press it onto paper with a printing press. What you carve away stays white; what you leave untouched draws the image. We will make a small, free and personal design as a way into the art of printmaking.
